TMI

OK, so I’ve caved in to web abbreviations…it’s the way of the future, but I’m still completely shunning L*L. That will never make it into my vocab.

US Customs just told us that we gave them ‘too much information’ regarding the contents of our shipping container.

Really? Boring household items…TMI?

Sweet-Ass Dresses

Written by Rikki. Filed under Awesomeness, Fashion. 4 Comments.

Ok so I will admit that the people behind Repeat After Me, are friends of mine however I’m sure you’ll want to check them out regardless.

Repeat After Me is a blog/online store selling awesome vintage and retro finds, they have some really excellent dresses for sale and after seeing them first hand I can testify that they’re not only awesome designs but also in really great condition. I’ve already bought 3, hahaha, so much for saving! (If my camera wasn’t busted then maybe I would do a photo shoot)

So if you’re in the mood for a hot frock go check them out, they have heaps of new stuff ready to go and will be updating their store often PLUS they sell at really reasonable rates wih most things around the $30 mark and a lot of stuff being listed as buy-it-now for people who hate bidding wars. Definitely one to bookmark.

How cute is this romper!

Liberty London MAC collection

Written by Community College. Filed under Uncategorized. Tagged , . 3 Comments.

Okay so I never ever ever buy nice makeup (it’s all about Priceline my bitches) but if I did I’d be buying this upcoming collection by MAC called Liberty London (I think…). Ever noticed that MAC and Mac (computers) have like the same brand name, bizarre, how was that allowed through. And furthermore, remember when macs were actually Macintosh computers. And IBMs were International Business Machines (they should seriously bring back that moniker, it sounds so 70s luxe, like James Bond and shit). AHEM….anyway…where was I? (other than drinking a glass of red) oh yeah makeup. Let’s let the pictures do the talking….

WOW! Gorgeous or fucking what?! Nice one MAC, a nice departure from the uber gay in your face shit. Don’t get me wrong, I like that stuff too but it’s a bit tired.

Um CUTTTTEEEE! And nice colour too! I’d love both of these. I really wanna embrace lippy this year (wasn’t that a resolution of mine???) This is just gorgeous. Read More »

Passing time

Something I’m not really used to here in the US is waiting to be seated for meals. I know this happens back home, but it’s not really that often. Pretty much every time we’ve been out, we’ve waited 15 – 40 mins for a spot. I’m not complaining though, it’s just how it is and the trick is to not be starving when you head out the door. That, and bring something along to keep yourselves occupied.

The other night, we used our phones to link up to the DMV to make some personalised number plates (in California, you can even choose symbols – heart, hand and star for your plates – BELIEVE IT!) Of course, this provided 40 minutes of pure entertainment…Sadly, ‘BOGAN’ was already taken , so the winning plate that got passed by the DMV:

Now all we need is $40 to keep it.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Appreciation, yes you read correctly

Looking up all these old Neutrogena ads, I stumbled across this one of J-Love….

Is it just me or does she look bangin’ in this? She has a classic rack if I ever saw one. Amazing. Racks on short girls look even hotter I reckon. ‘Cause they’re like a mini woman, concentrated, like that orange juice. Now I gotta say she has got pretty boring. She always was the girl next door type (hello Party of Five) but the Ghost Whisperer???! Seriously. That show fucking sucks! Doesn’t really do much to expel the girl next door thing either. I’d like to remember her as this…

Product Pimpin’: Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser

Written by Community College. Filed under Uncategorized. Tagged . No comments.

Woah, the product is coming through thick n fast for review these days. Works for me, I’m so lazy I haven’t been to Priceline in a good while. Hell, my birth control prescription has even expired, I’m living on the edge yo! Haha, I’d be def up to trial a new pill btw, preferably something that makes my breasts bigger (I’ve heard of magic ones which do this!).

But anyway back to the product at hand. Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. I’m a big Neutrogena fan from way back. Honestly Neutrogena is the bomb. I call it poor man’s Clinique, and that is not to say it’s like a dodgy version of Clinique but rather just as good and like a quarter of the price. I’ve been using Neutrogena since I was a little wee CC at the tender age of 13. Even their face soap which is like a couple bucks is really good. I used to use that because my mum was too pov to buy me the proper cleansers! Ahhh family bankrupcey, but that’s a story for another time.

I have great nostalgia for any Neutrogena, even though I use it to this day (my bf does too, by that I mean he uses all my shit). I remember this product came out when I was like in grade 9 in the late 90’s and Jennifer Love Hewitt was the face of the brand. Yep in those days, she was the BUSINESS!

GO Nanna GO!

How super excellent is Ruth Flowers? A 70 year old DJ from Bristol.. She’s a hit in the Paris clubs apparently and I can totally see why.

I’m not such a fan of her music but I LOVE her big finger at so-called age appropriate behaviour. Party on Ruth!

Home Sweet Home

Finally things are getting a little more normal over here in SD. We’ve moved into our new house and THIS was the deal sealer…the spare room:

All I need to do is get some sand and a tanning bed and I’m charging $100 bucks a night to stay in this room.

We were also genius enough to completely forget to get the water turned on so we were without for a few days. There is something very very strange about showering at work.

Oh…and did I mention that our shower has a window in it? HELLO STREET!
