I’ve been in the mood to do some DIY fashion stuff lately, please note “been in the mood” does not mean I have actually made anything so don’t get too excited but I’ve been looking at some DIY fashion sites lately and I’m thinking in our current climate and with my natural creative aptitude (*cough*) I could get some glue gun action happening and create some cool shit. Namely what I wanna do is buy cheap ugly heels from payless and stick shit to them (feather, fruit, ruffles, crystal things). I don’t think my outfits are crazy enough to carry any of this shit off but I’m thinking seriously about it. I wanna make some fruit espadrilles for summer! But yeah it got me thinking about the good old bedazzler. The thing that every girl has pined for at some point in their lives…

This baby punches crystals into just about anything and was an eighties delight. They still make them but apparently the quality is bullshit now. According to amazon reviews. Looking up bedazzler shit though inevitably got me onto one of the most funnest slash fucked up-intriguing things to do on the internet: look at pagaent websites! HOLY SHIIIT. I think myself or someone else may of posted on this shit before, but my God it’s thrilling looking at those sites, so much glitter and general absolute inappropriate styling that the whole culture is just this grotesque/amazing visual feast! If your not a dude (kinda suss looking at lil’ girls, let’s face it, especially if you’re at work) I highly recommend you search that shit. It’s a great way to kill time. This girl is called “Mackensie” what a suprise. She looks about 35. Her dress is kinda amazing though. I mean when I was a little kid I would of killed to wear this thing. There’s some shops back in QLD run by Filipino ladies that sell shit versions of this stuff haha. They’re so gross.  I’m seriously suprised these little girls aren’t wearing heels though hey? Wow, that’s some serious embellishment. I kinda love over the top embellishment, it’s so kitsch and awesome. Just not on kiddies. Part of me appreciates these dresses though, reminds me of one of my fave designers (though pretty sure they no longer run the label) HEATHERETTE.
