Love and War

I eagerly await pretty much anything that has to do with Mark Ronson, he has worked on some of my favourite albums and produced for heaps of my favourite artists in the past few years; Amy Winehouse, Kaiser Chiefs, Adele, Lily Allen, Wale, Santogold and of course delivered Version, possibly one of my favourite records ever. And now he has produced Daniel Merriweather’s debut album, Love & War,  and again I am absolutely mesmorised by this record.

This isn’t a review per se because frankly who wants to listen to me pretend I know anything about music, I just really love this album, the production, the songs, his voice, his lyrics and I hope to fuck we see him perform (with Mark and the Dap Kings of course) as soon as possible. If you haven’t heard any tracks from this album head to his Myspace and have a listen, well worth the time and effort. I have a feeling I’m going to be listening to a lot of this over the next few weeks.

fuck yeah- I’ve been playing this on repeat for the past few weeks… It’s pretty Stevie Wonderish which in wonderful! Although there’s one or two songs that are a bit ‘shutup you pansy’ type songs that I expect to hear being overdone on Idol soon…(no!!)
The track with Wino is a banger!
