The shopping situation has been non existant lately, being a poor uni student you have to forget about Net-a-Porter or be unable to eat for the month. As you know I am a little partial to food.
Then getting part time work you get to spend the money you do get on fun stuff like train tickets, phone credit and boring food from Coles, so you can get to work, call your friends and don’t starve to death.
Welcome to the real world I hear them say!
Thankfully I am back in full time gainful employment again, not making quite the mint that cushy office jobs once afforded me, but then again I don’t spend all day loading up my shopping cart on the Outnet because of lack of work to do, so it all evens out for my wallet as I don’t end up buying every bargain(!!!!!) that arrives in my inbox.
Instead I have been pouring over these purchases for many many moons and they have finally gone on sale! Plus I am moving up in the world so to speak and my new job commands some serious wardrobe. So in one day, which will be the last day for a very long time, I have done some serious financial damage but ended up with some serious purchases. Behold

McQ by Alexander McQueen Dress – big fan of easy dresses that can be thrown on when running late for work but still look hot. Love the exposed zip boat neck and the fact that I have snuck in an animal print without looking like Donatella Versace.

Chloe Lurex Knit – we had this in a store I worked in and it is seriously sparkly. Looking forward to throwing it over jeans, under blazers and using as an excuse to buy gold Dries Van Noten shoes. I debuted it on the weekend and it made me very happy.
I’ve gone a bit mad after this, coballt blue Military winter coat, long tuxedo style black blazer, new cheap monday’s, new two blocks south, nars makeup, diane von fursternberg top, pucci scarf to name a few. Blame the new boutique I work in, god I love it. But you’ll have to wait for photos of me wearing it, because flat flicks of them spread across my floor doesn’t quite do it justice.
Plus I bought boring stuff like hair dye, hair product that I have been without for months, a new tube of Paw Paw that doesn’t have a massive hole in it and I bought myself Sushi at David Jones, because I wanted to get ripped off and feel posh and it was healthier than eating cookies.
But now the shopping party has come to an end. Back to the dressmaking.

ps. I often dress like Donatella Versace. Is there a problem with this?
I LOVE them! I’ve worn them a few times already and love love love.
Looking LIKE Donatella is fine, BEING Donatella is not so cool.
