Recently we were approached by Chupa Chups to take part in ‘Chuck’s Life Less Serious Champion Challenge’. As soon as we heard we’d be sent a box of Chupa Chups for this purpose, we were instantly down. In a matter of days we received candy, a Chuck doll and the brief to create a blog post that involved Chupa Chups and the challenge to create something that embodied the ‘Life Less Serious’ tagline. Over here at Casa Mayoress the ‘Life Less Serious’ sentiment never rang so true. Yeah we all get down at times (and now doubt bitched about it on here) but when life gives you lemons, any reader will know we’re all about squeezing those damn things into a glass of fine liquor, hanging with the girls and knocking them back over good tunes, good convo and good times. Naturally we decided to incorporate shots and cocktails into our piece. Behold the creations….

Berry Banger
• Gin
• 2 Berry yoghurt Chupa Chups
Crush 1 Chupa Chup for rim, pop the remaining into the shot glass to infuse for a few minutes. GO!

Mango Muncher
• Vodka
• Mango Chupa Chup
Crush the mango Chupa Chup and leave to infuse for a few minutes.

Lick, sip, Chupa Chup suck
• Tequila
• 2 blackberry Chupa Chups
Crush 1 Chupa Chup for the ‘salt’, you know the rest!

The only thing Mayorettes enjoy as much as partying with the girls is accessorising with the girls. Being the environmentally aware peeps we are (don’t act surprised!) after sinking the creations we noticed big piles of fruitylicious wrappers surrounding us everywhere. Uh-oh. But never fear, what’s litter to some is an invitation to accessorise for us my friend (hey it’s the recession okay?). One girl’s trash is another’s treasure right? Heading into Summer, what girl wouldn’t want a set of bedazzled fruit themed (and scented from the Chupa Chups lolly!) acrylics.

I seriously think I missed my calling as being a nail technician because um…how hot are they? I even went 3D with it. Check the little Chupa Chups logo from the stick’s tag on the thumb nail! And yes that’s a french tip made out of the massive logo on the logo. The other nails took inspiration from a flavour. Cola, strawberry, blackberry and melon are all reppin’ hard.

Hyped on candy and the rush of new nails, I tried to seduce the only man in my prescence…Chuck.

Combing my paws through his lustrous blond hair (you know I have a thing for blond men, especially the kind who laden you with candy) sadly my advances were ignored. Chuck was more interested in the Chupa Chups.

Maybe it was the shots talking but I swear I heard him mutter under his breath “geez woman, why you gotta make life so serious”.

You can’t tame a free spirit ladies. Don’t try. It will never work. Keep it simple! Don’t get serious too soon! Hehe.
