I love London for fashion... It seems to cultivate designers who aren't afraid to do something completely different and left of centre, while I was living there I had so much fun shopping and dressing up, you could wear an arrangement of stuffed toys on your head and a shower curtain for a dress and not have anyone blink an eye... well in the East at least... Now in Newcastle if I wear coloured heels I get weird stares... Hahaha.
Anyway two young designers that I have stumbled apon recently definitely go to prove that London is a fun place for fashion right now...
First Du Yang a knit wear extraordinaire... I know I've just been managing my way through 40 degree days but gosh I would love to pull one of her creations over my head one day...

Oooo watermelons, and cactus's, HUGE pom-poms and over sized comfort... Its all so bright and amazing don't you think? Imagine them worn with some skinnys and a massive pair of heels... HAWT!
Secondly is Emma Bell, darling of the Super Super tribe in Ol' London... although her aesthetic is pretty full on too, I think that her pieces could be toned down a fair bit, making it a bit more accessible for those who can't quite stomach the over-the-top-ness of it all... it all comes down to styling methinks... anyhoo I love it!

I know this is suppose to be men's wear but I want that jacket!

How good is this crocheted food dress.. yum!
and for those of you who might know them... Miss Bell has even enlisted the help of the UK Big Brother Twins on the catwalk! Hahahaha!

I found these two girls way tooo sickly sweet for my tastes... they were pretty funny though.
Ah so if that hasn't inspired you to go out and put on your brightest outfit I don't know what will!

Ha Ha. I read this as I peel off my Black Blazer and Black Ballerinas and Cheap Mondays to have a shower. I am so Melbourne.
I was wearing Candy Pink Cork Wedges all day though Rikk! All is not lost.

Def. feeling you Rikki! That gold jacket is AMAHZING, as is the crocheted food dress, the strawberry knit hat, the cactus knit hat and all those tights. I foresee Katy Perry at the next awards show she attends rocking up in any one of these creations.

Haha! It takes all sorts my darling! Just as you would feel uncomfortable in a crocheted food dress, I would feel weird in sleek, tailored fashion, but that’s what makes the fashion world a wonderful diverse place!
ps. I found a excellent pair of (90′s maybe) Bally loafers at the op shop yesterday (I totes thought of you!)… but alsa they were a size 37 so I am thinking of who to gift them to… at $5 I couldn’t say no!
