HELLO! I'm back! So sorry for the lack of posts. Hella busy and devo about being home and been drunk heaps. You know, the usual. I'm not gonna front. I'm a big Tony Bianco fan. I pick up half the shoes I own at the clearance store down the road and their proper instore ranges are pretty killer but always under 200 bucks. Melbourne is experiencing a bit of an influx of late with a lot of new interstaters, which I for one am quite happy about since the Melbourne MASS EXODUS 2 years ago. Seriously, what the fuck was that? That was SHIT.

It's nice also because it makes me feel like I'm not the new girl anymore which is cool after 3 and half years, but as every born-and-bred Melbournite will let you know the instant you start to call Melbourne home as an interstater, it takes a lot more than finally buying a decent jacket to claim Melbourne as your own. A few peeps have been saying in passing "You must know how it is to move to a new state" or "you've been the new girl" and yes, yes I have. So my friends and countrymen, I shall pass on some of my wisdom because *this is where I begin to mount my high horse simultaneously as a sad violin tune starts to play* I moved here not knowing a single damn soul. No twitter back then my friends (well maybe there was but no one used it) fuck all blogs too, I had to set up the friendship shop from absolute scratch. I went to movies by myself on the weekend because I didn't know fucking anyone. Haha. It was so shit. Luckily a dude at work's gf at the time took me under her wing but yeah it was a mega hard slog and you learn a lot through that kinda shit. Well it's just over a month out from Hayle's wedding and I think I've become one of those crazy birdesmaids who's obsessed with weddings on her behalf. Haha. I've never had a cause to be vaguely interested in weddings before so looking at dresses and shiz and wedding blogs has proved my fave hangover weekend activity. Cut to PJ sweating balls in the corner as he sees me open my 17th tab of wedding decorations. haha. No I'm not that bad. If I was disinterested, what kinda bridesmaid would I be? A shit one, that's what! Let's  have a look at some notable weddings through the years shall we....

Firstly, the wedding that started it all. Okay, maybe not all but at least my shit (me me me!) Here is a busted photo of my grandma and grandpa in a traditional shinto wedding. They did a western style one and a traditional Japanese one. I think it's so damn cute. Not sure how old they are but they look pretty young. I love how this Australian white dude is just rocking a kimono, shit must of been crazy back then. This would have been taken in around 1947 I think. My dad just sent me a bunch of scans of old pics, so I'll post some more later.

Given my impending trip, I've really been trying not to buy shit of late. But given that my winter clothes suck and... I'm a girl, this hasn't gone quite as well as planned, but I've been okay. I figure if I break the seal I might as well vindicate it a little by making it content for the blog, so sit back and look at the shit I've bought lately. Some of this isn't even that new but hey, content is king people. Firstly I was in DIRE need of a winter jacket. Do you have any idea how hard it is to buy a decent jacket? SO hard. Not a big fan of the wool peacoat look, not a big fan of pretty much any jackets really to be honest. BUT I am now. Behold the above, best leather jacket ever. So buttery and soft, courtesy of my friend Mel's label Moon Child. She was selling off some samples and luckily they were my size. Also bought one in tan. Love both! Best purchase I've made clothes wise this year easily as I wear them so much and luckily winter has been pretty great (TOUCH WOOD) so I've been able to get away with wearing them alot, even though they're cropped. Nice to buy something unique too that not every damn chain store is selling. Read more
