So stoked to head up to LA for the DABS MYLA exhibition at Known Gallery yesterday. Melbourne crew! Great to Have Tom and Claire stop over for a bit after their trek through South and Central America. Happy travels guys x (thanks Tom, for the pic).

LA Times! The crew headed up to Hollywood over the weekend for Eat Your Art Out 5, a fundraiser for the Angel City Derby Girls. A much needed break from the usual and an excuse to eat and drink our way through LA.
First stop was the Jewelry District which is like Disneyland for me, SO EXCITEMENT! Then next up we hit Pattern Bar in the Garment District. Unlike last time when CC was in town, there was actually alcohol in our cocktail glasses. I would post a pic of my drink but I knocked it over while trying to line up a shot. Lesson learned. Instead, here's a pic of the dudes.

After giant beers and eating the most amazing chips and salsa at Guelaguetza, it was onwards to Titmouse in Hollywood for Eat Your Art Out 5.
Next! Anyone else moving on to March? I missed a few in Feb, but thought I'd make an effort to hit each day next month.

In her first-ever solo show, Cheech Sanchez presents a series of photographic portraits of female sneaker enthusiasts taken exclusively for the recently released international sneaker book, Girls Got Kicks. The photo series has since developed into a unique snapshot of female street culture in Melbourne. Juxtapozing feminine curves against the graffiti-laden laneways and back streets of Fitzroy and St Kilda, the exhibition is set to throw a bright spotlight on an otherwise elusive group of uniquely Melbournian women.
The opening night - hosted by Melbourne’s very own sneaker queen,M.A.F.I.A. - is also the official Australian launch for Girls Got Kicks (by Lori Lobenstine and Amanda Lopez -www.girlsgotkicks.com). The first ever photo documentary of badass female sneaker heads, Girls Got Kicks bursts with portraits and stories as rich and varied as their ever-growing sneaker collections.
The folks at 123 Klan have come up with this ridiculously nice snapback for the next Agenda in Long Beach, CA this coming January. Must get my hands on one of these!
