My girls Emily and Jackie at the best swimwear label in the world (seriously, it is) House of Jackie Brown celebrated their 2nd bday last week at the Grace Hotel in New York. The party look amazoid and more importantly, the suits are off the hizzy! Their new range is called Jungle Juice and the fashion parade that showcased all of their ranges past and present looked so fricken good. The girls styled and organised ACCLAIM‘s cover shoot and girls fashion shoot in our current issue (cop itttt) and I’ve always loved their stuff being a huge bikini fan. Tis the season.
Tis the season is the period after winter where you start saying ‘yes’ to life again.
You stop with the too cold/too broke/too tired/too whino complaining and start going out on Tuesday afternoons.
It is the turning point of the year when the sun shines and every pint of cider you drain brings you one step closer to summer.
It’s the point that you stop counting calories and being depressed about your casper the friendly ghost skin, and instead count change to buy one last beer and start making the time to moisturise and give yourself a pedicure.
I would like to officially open tis the season for business. And credit Strorbz for introducing me to such a phenomenon.

Anyway, I feel it necessary to gloat that I have already seen Wu-Tang, in San Francisco, on the same bill as Rage Against the Machine in 2007. But to be honest I was so drunk after drinking my way through Public Enemy, Blaqstarr, Jean Grae, Cypress Hill, EPMD and whoever else was playing that Wu is a very happy but very blurry memory. And the Seventh Letter exhibition we attended afterwards is pretty much completely unrecallable. But that last weekend in the states was a pretty epic way to wrap a pretty epic holiday in NYC and SF.
But back to Wu, I am looking forward to doing all again. So far GZA, Raekwon, RZA, Ghostface, U-God and Inspectah are confirmed and apparently more are waiting on Visas. If Meth doesn’t make it there is no way it will be as good but Raekwon is a Melbourne first and that will be fucking banging, especially with Ghost. Cuban Links anyone?

About two weeks ago the Hellz Bellz x Vans NYC launch party went down. Looked like quite the banger, I sent my friend Rhiannon who’s currently residing in NYC (yup jealous) to take a few snaps for the ACCLAIM blog and then when I was looking on lastnightsparty at pics of the event who’s purdy mug do I see on there (amongst about a trillion shots of coked up bitches flashing their tits CONSTANTLY) but hers!
