Halloween, my fave holiday. A license to act out and anything goes. Anything. This year we were invited to "Helloween" at Speakeasy Studios and good times ensued. Read more
LA. Food. Art. Primus.
No secret, I love heading up to LA. Made the trip this past Saturday to squeeze a bunch of stuff into one evening.
Fist stop, Flying Pig Cafe to break the boring food cycle. Pork belly buns did the trick oh yes.
The Do-Over
Holy crap! I did something on the weekend! Thanks to Adidas and LA for lending us some party time by bringing the Do-Over to town.
Sunset Market
What the shit? I knew my little Oceanside had markets every Thursday, but I dismissed them as small town craft even before checking them out properly (sorrrrrryyyyy!) But in reality, the Sunset Market's are a food extravaganza (as you know, my favourite).
See more food that I ate...
Hungry yet?
Meals on Wheels
I've had 2 adventures in feeding my face lately. First was my dream come true - The Del Mar Food Truck Festival where over 40 food trucks from San Diego to LA gathered in a joyous event seemingly made just for me. All kinds of food from gourmet to the outrageous - YES, I ATE CHOCOLATE COVERED BACON.
Raekwon, Ghostface, Mobb Deep
Wow. The blog is looking a little f'd from my end. Update soon. Soon!
In an effort to stop doing so much of this:

I haven't really been taking too many gig photos of late. Seriously though, some of you need to give it a rest (myself included). What, you upload it to YouTube and think you're gonna watch that shit again? You'd only watch what you recorded again because you missed the actual live show because you were trying to capture it on your iPhone. Guess what? STOP IT! Get a few pics, a few recordings for keepsakes, but for real, why not enjoy the show? /Rant.
Believe it or not, this was the first hip hop show I've seen since being in the US. Can you believe all of the other gigs I have been to have been either Metal \m/ or the strippers?
Farmhouse Wedding
Dear friends Jesse and Erin got hitched over the weekend. The festivities involved a farmhouse, lots of hay and two wedding crashers. How the hell crashers found their way to a paddock in the middle of nowhere, I'll never know. "My dog ran here" is a shit excuse.

The Aussies were catered for
How cute is the set-up?
Best of the Met
We all love a good gander at what the beautiful people are wearing don't we, and one of the best parties of the year for this is the Met Costume Ball, everyone steps it up a notch, and unlike other ceremonies, outlandish "couture" is encouraged... GAME ON!
For a very comprehensive sticky beak I suggest heading over to Vogue, I love how you can zoom in on all of the dresses details, and faces over there... see what's really going on, who's botoxed up and what not!
Anyway my top 5 looks of the ball are as follows...
1. Iman Abdulmajid
David Bowie knew what he was doing when he put a ring on it.. her ageless beauty is just ridonkulous, what other 55 year old do you know that could look this good in a plunging gold sequined jumpsuit I ask you? What 35 year old even?? I bow before thee oh goddess!
Carbon Festival feat. Carri Munden of Cassette Playa!
Still on the self promotion trail, but hey if I don't do it, who will? It's a busy month for me alright. The new issue just dropped and in two weeks time we're putting on an epic event called Carbon, which will be taking place at Melbourne's fed square over a couple of days (April 29-May 1st). The event is a series of discussion forums of various topics relating to style, creativity and branding/promotion. We've got a stack of excellent local and international guests for it also, which I am so pumped about meeting. We just announced our final international speaker also, who is none other than Carri Munden of Cassette Playa in London. I have been a fan of Carri's work for ages, so it's great to have such a creative and styling lady on the panel! She is definitely one of the most progressive designers currently out there. Check out some of her stuff after the jump and that of the other speakers...
Zonked
If you're in Melbourne, my friends over at Zonk Vision are having an exhibition. If I'm not working I shall be there with bells on. Here's the vid-invite:
