I want new shoes!

At the moment I’m saving for the little mini holiday I’m going to take in October and because I don’t get ANY holidays from Uni until I finish at the end of 2012, I’m going to make the most of my four day break to Sydney. Therefore I can’t really afford new shoes. I’ve been lusting after these Jeffrey Campbell, Mary Roks shoes for a long time but I can’t really justify buying them at the moment. Especially since I just purchased some new clothes off ASOS.

I did however find some cheap shoes at Rubi Shoes. I’ve never bought anything from them but they don’t look they’d hold together too long. Anyone bought any from them? How are they? Here are some ones I want:

I know I got suckered into the whole clog thing… but they’re so pretty AND, here is a diagram explaining why women love shoes so much.

Ahhh I love buying shoes, I thought that while I was in Melbs last week that I might purchase a new pair as it’s been a while between stilettos but I actually didn’t do all that much shopping, too busy eating, drinking and most probably blabbing away to be bothered schlepping through the shops. However I went out to run a few errands today and low and behold look what I found in the sale bin at Wittners.. these platform, silver holographic, oil slick rainbowed pretties, they were pretty ridiculously reduced so I pounced on them. Noodle hates them, he reckons they look cheap and tacky and only suitable for The Golden Mile, you’d think he’d realise by now that that is exactly my style, ha ha ha, he hasn’t given up hope that I’ll start dressing like a punk chick from East London circa the 1980′s.

Behold their amazingness.

(Please ignore my rolled up jeans and the socks are for covering badly maintained feet, come on it is Winter ok)

Actually the holographic rainbowness of them doesn’t really come out in these pics but believe me they shimmer like hell. Now I just can’t wait to wear them down the cross!

Saw these on ebay (I CANNOT believe the price!!!) and immediately started thinking about DIYing these bad boys… I don’t know if you remember but I bought those Jessica Simpson (Yikes, I still feel dirty) platforms a while ago and I still haven’t worn them… They were real cheap but they are no good to me if I don’t wear them so I think they are going to get attacked by the glue gun real soon.

Equals… Awesomeness. I’ll be sure to document.

Is anyone else feeling the current resurgence of the “clog”?… I’m loving them.. Chunky shoes make the rest of me seem slim in comparison.. and I’m all for any slimming help I can get.

In an ideal world I’d just wave my magic bank card and buy these Miu Miu puppies…

But unfortunately I help make up the 99.9% of the world that don’t heamorrage money…

I have found a very exciting alternative however in the form of Maguba clogs… These bad boys are epic and definitely within the grasp of us mere money mortals at between $80-$150 a pop… and look at them!

They come in every colour of the rainbow and best of all you can even design your own!!!

My dream clog would look something like this… Purple suede and banana yellow soles!! Yeow!

And if you still have your heart set on a daisy pair then hey presto they have a totally cutesy flower print too!

It’s been AGES since I’ve been able to buy new stuff. Apart from being pov, I’ve been trying to hang on to some cash so we can find somewhere to live and buy a car (at this stage, only a matchbox car is affordable). Anyway, it’s true what you hear…Australians pay far more for clothing and shoes than anyone else.

I was going to part with $80 for a pair of shoes. Instead, I got 2 pairs for $80. YAYS! I had change to eat lunch at In & Out burger.

Hmmmm…

I have strange mixed feelings… On one hand I know these are borderline ugly… I know that every straight man on Earth (especially Noodle) will hate these, and actually probably most girls too but really if I think about it I know that I would happily strap these bad boys on my feet, stomp on their toes and say “C’est le vie” to the lot of them!

Mi Adidas Originals

Hot damn what a week! Topped off by the awesomeness of being able to check out the new Adidas store in Chadstone and test out the Mi Adidas Originals station. The store is looking good and fresh and I was just a little bit too excited about customising a pair of kicks.

Best. Hangover. Cure. Ever.

I could have spent all afternoon there, but managed to refrain. Here’s a peek at my babies:

I satisfied my current obsession – Mesh. Ain’t nothing finer than a mesh toecap. Can’t wait to get back there and make some more!
