My friend just posted some funny pics onto Facebook of a girls night a few weeks back, so I thought I’d share… I believe between us we drank 3 bottles of Bacardi, 1.5Kg of lime, two bunches of mint and wait for it, an entire bag of brown sugar! YIKES! It does make these photos make sense though.

Some of my Sydney darlings came down over the weekend and as I am currently house sitting and not living with the In-Law I took the chance to do some entertaining… Christmas in July style. We strung the Christmas lights and roasted up a slab of pork, indulged in some extreme food excess and a few too many glasses of mulled wine.
Apart from that it was just such a nice weekend with everyone. Op shopping, vintage shopping, market shopping, food shopping and well mostly eating… And here comes some piccies.

So I got home from a week in Melbourne on Monday morning… I am currently as sick as a dog but I am just thankful it held off until I got home. I had so much fun in Melbs (as always) and it was so good to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones (ahem Jesso & Nancy!) and as promised I took some photos with our new camera (which I managed to lose and find on Friday night – my vagueness with techno gadgets astounds even I!) Anyway I didn’t take too many, I kept forgetting I actually had a camera, but anyway here’s a few to amaze and delight you (or vaguely raise your interest, what evs!)

So as I mentioned it was my birthday last week. 28 feeling great. (That’s what I’m telling myself anyway! Ha!) As I am camera less at the mo I thought I would pinch these photos from my darling Jazzy to give you some actual real life content.. not just “I want to buy crap loads of shit but I will never afford it” posts… I know I do that kind of post well though!
I wanted to do something a bit fun and different from the norm.. you know, go to pub, drink, go to club, drink, so I decided we should go to pub drink, THEN go to bowling, drink and finish with go to club, drink… Baby steps and all that.. Bowling was however a great choice, we all had a great time even though most of us were REALLY bad, one of my girlfriends actually let go of the ball when she swung back resulting in the ball flying into the seating area.. thank god she didn’t take anyone out, it was pretty hilarious though… Anyway I’ll let the piccies do the talking!

My darling workmate Megs left the newspaper I work at (part-time) on Friday, so we thought it only right to go out and shake it up a bit… this is kinda hard to do in Newcastle as the night life mainly consists of derro dickhead males and airhead-Ed-Hardy wearing women… but we persevered and had a good time. I think the game of “King of Beers” before hand helped a lot… I have seriously not played this since first year uni but I must admit it was quite fun.
First off, in more sober times, here’s the design team having farewell lunch on the harbour… yes I dress like a “zany-old-woman-clown” for work.. so what?
Next stop, fun times with fake poo…
Well I’ve just had one of the best weekends I’ve had in a while… My amazing girlfriend Jazzy turned 30 on Sunday and to celebrate she hired this Eco house in the middle of the bush/hills. We had to drive down this god awful dirt road on which we all thought we were going to die but it was totally worth it cause the place was just darling. The only draw back was the fact that there was no power points for my GHD… Girls with wavy hair and fringes know what I am talking about, hahaha.
So the theme for the weekend was “cosmic” which everyone pretty much embraced from the get go, we went bush walking, sat around a camp fire, gave massages, had a craft afternoon to work on our headpieces for our Saturday night costumes and also made crystal necklaces which ruled… We also ate so much it hurt, it was a constant onslaught of incredible treats which included, vietnamese fresh rolls, veggie and meat Thai curries (made by darling Mei – the boy can cook) corn fritters with salsa, creme fresh and bacon, various flavoured macaroons, prawns, calamari, antipasto platters, baked eggs, birthday cupcakes, lamb,fish,chicken and haloumi shish kebabs… I can go on and on… anyhow the 5 kilos I’ve gained was well worth it.

God I want to get a neon sign made up… or one of those hilarious nail-art neon signs, you know with a hand holding a rose with hot pink talons… amazing.
Well it was another full on weekend for me, one of Noodles best mates from high school AND his lovely girlfriend celebrated their 30th by hiring this radical barn house out in the sticks… it was a full “rustic” affair… all exposed log beams and sweeping country views… very cool, was nice to have a little country escape, swim in a creek and run around with the geese and dogs… There was also a hideous amount of alcohol consumed (out of an amazing wine barrel eskie!) and waaaaaayyyyy to much red meat, I ate BBQ for breakfast lunch and tea from Friday night till Sunday morning… errr I was totally in a meat coma by the time I got home… gross!

… and some of Noodle’s maltesers… this was me from work then to a movie last night. Wearing a pink beret from ebay, a crap load of makeup, shoes from ASOS, second hand stone wash AWOL jacket (a personal fave) and a really cute dress from a shop off Bricklane in London that I don’t remember the name of. I call it my Jackson Pollock dress, it’s covered in paint splats and has this awesomely massive ruffle down the front, I love ruffles. It also has my favourite feature of any dress… POCKETS… I love the comforting feeling of slipping your hands into pockets, meanwhile the receptionist at work asked me if it was a top or a dress.. what a prude! Noods and I had a date night last night and went and saw Inception after work, it was so romantic as we stuffed our faces with supermarket bought treats and complained that we felt like we were going to die (but continued to stuff chocolate in) I really enjoyed the movie but man has Leo got that weird middle age face spread thing going on.. his face is sooo wide, it’s so weird how some dudes faces do that.
