Romance Was Born had an art show with collaborator Kate Rohde called Renaissance Dinosaur, probably would of been more aptly titled ‘Rikki in a Nutshell’. There was a shitload of champagne also. Goddamn I enjoyed that (not so much the next day ay) and we caught up with one half of the duo, your friend Luke, rikki. He’s hilarious. The whole night was pretty hilarious, full of art patrons dress way over the top (it was in a posh commercial gallery), fashion kids and one small Asian lady who came in holding a fat furry REAL alive bunny like a baby. It was like someone was taking the piss! Great night though!

Next night I met up with miss Magoo and I must be a glutton for punishment as I was hungover as hell and went to another fashion thing. This time a book launch for this new title on Aus and NZ fashion.

Here you can witness the two quintessential melbourne hairstyles, the fashion bun and the Melbourne undercut. It was mostly just full of ppl like this, retail fashion people. Yawn. But the chicks are the bar were hella friendly and the dj played some good music. And I won’t say no to a Peroni pretty much…. well ever. Fuck I want a beer now… where am I???

Nancy and I then proceeded to drink on the street and then go home and drink more and have a youtube party that involved an alarming amount of 90s girl-rock cheeze such as Lisa Loeb and Bic Runga, hahaha WTF? We are such sad lezzos. We also enjoyed this track immensely….

Bahahah. I still stand by this song though. Apparently she was married to Paul Simon, I had no idea. We didn’t listen to Ani Di Franco though, there’s some lows I just won’t go.

So yeah I was hung over half of the damn working week. So now it’s worky time. But I took time out to blog ’cause I’m a fucking saint, let’s face it.

Anyway 20 to 8 and I’m still at work, fuck this, I need to get some grub. G-NITE!!!

Ah I love this song! Is it just me, or is there something sexual about this song? I think it’s all the panting, but it’s probably just me. I hate when bands of bygone eras perform and you wish they had retired to go live on a farm and raise cattle or something, but this performance on Later Live with Jools Holland is pretty solid. Good work Depeche Mode.

I really don’t mind Marilyn Manson, especially when I was in high school. This is just not that cool though. I did go and see him last year, my friend got about 15 free tickets, which is an indication of how well they were selling. I reviewed it here, it just wasn’t good. He didn’t sodomise anyone & there wasn’t even any blood. Fake or otherwise. I would have preferred this over the Sweet Dreams, Eurythmics cover though.

Verdict: DEPECHE FUCKING MODE!

There are a couple of things that shit me about cosmetics advertising. 1. The ‘face splash’ of face wash ads (more on this later) and Mascara ads.

I’m not annoyed because they’re bullshit, if you’re old enough to know that most cosmetics companies rely heavily on photoshop you can’t be fooled, but do they seriously think that anyone would believe that these are the results we’re going to get? Who wants to boost their lashes by 5000% and look you’ve stuffed a baby porcupine in each eye?

Saved the best for last:

I finally found a red lipstick that doesn’t make me look like a washed out goth! Pity it’s smudgey as shit and comes off real easy. I guess it’s an excuse to pull out the ol’ phallis shaped lippy to entice the lads. Always a great idea when you’re in a committed relationship. Haha.

And one for the parents….

… and some of Noodle’s maltesers… this was me from work then to a movie last night. Wearing a pink beret from ebay, a crap load of makeup, shoes from ASOS, second hand stone wash AWOL jacket (a personal fave) and a really cute dress from a shop off Bricklane in London that I don’t remember the name of. I call it my Jackson Pollock dress, it’s covered in paint splats and has this awesomely massive ruffle down the front, I love ruffles. It also has my favourite feature of any dress… POCKETS… I love the comforting feeling of slipping your hands into pockets, meanwhile the receptionist at work asked me if it was a top or a dress.. what a prude! Noods and I had a date night last night and went and saw Inception after work, it was so romantic as we stuffed our faces with supermarket bought treats and complained that we felt like we were going to die (but continued to stuff chocolate in) I really enjoyed the movie but man has Leo got that weird middle age face spread thing going on.. his face is sooo wide, it’s so weird how some dudes faces do that.

and then finding out that the business park that you work in has shouted  everyone icee’s. Joy of all joy’s!

I’m riding the flavourwave (no, the Pina Colada doesn’t contain alcohol. Boo).
