Poor Polly! I haven’t actually seen this show in it’s entirety, but this clip made me want to.

Britney on POP magazine

Written by Community College. Filed under Uncategorized. 1 Comment.

This just about blew my damn mind. Check out Britney on the covers of POP with the artwork of Murakami. Arrrgggggh. LOVE IT. Very Face magazine (isn’t Pop by the old Face dudes?) Can’t wait to get my hands on this. She wears Japanese swimsuits and a Rodarte wedding dress. Bring it! Also a zine by Cindy Sherman comes with the mag. A heap of amazing features in there. Viva la print (said the blog, ironic).

Though I can’t help thinking of smackies in those all-over print hoodies when I see poor ol’ baby Milo these days. I still want it bad though.

ACCLAIM ISSUE 21 OUT NOW!

Written by Community College. Filed under Uncategorized. 3 Comments.

Okay so this is a little belated but I’ve been so busy trying to get shit done I haven’t had time to go on the promo trail. Issue 21 of ACCLAIM is out now, so run (don’t walk) and grab a copy as it’s a banger. I’m really proud of this issue because every little bit and piece I had a hand in. It’s my baby and I’m stoked on her. I got Ellen Stagg (NSFW) to shoot our cover and shoot inside. I interviewed her (actually I interviewed her and wrote the feature TWICE, because my computer crashed in the middle of the issue which was AWESOME). I even ordered the models best friend necklaces off ebay and got them sent to Ellen for the shoot! You can’t see them in the main cover though, doh!  We did a bunch of different covers for the issue. The red one goes into all of the newsstands and Borders etc.

While the yellow ones only go into boutiques… Read More »

My first live police chase

Written by Hayley. Filed under Awesomeness. Tagged . 1 Comment.

Early morning excitement ensued when I finally saw a police chase live on TV

Police Chase

Believe it or not, this guy got back in his car and tried to drive some more

Errrr…..stop guy, you’re going to outrun this with a blown tyre?

Police Chase

PS news is serious shit here. I’ve seen news anchors moonwalk across the green screen twice now and it ain’t uncommon to hear Dre before an ad break.

One Jacket. 2 Ways.

God I hate magazine fashion talk… like “Here’s a skirt, let us show you how to wear it 5 different ways… like maybe with a belt, maybe with a singlet top and a necklace, etc, etc…” We get it people, it’s called putting clothes on and unless your Paris Hilton I’m, pretty sure we are all used to wearing the same item of clothing in different ways, yep it’s pretty basic stuff. So anyway here’s what I wore to work yesterday and then what I wore out for a Birthday dinner in the evening, you’ll notice I’m wearing the same Kermit jacket in both pics, another mag fashion favourite “From day to night with a few simple accessories!”

I told you I was going to do more outfit posts!

So left is work, yes my eyes are shut, best of a bad lot, a patient photographer my boyfriend is not…. I think everything is from an Op Shop apart from the stockings (got them in Melbs) and the Shoes which were a score on Ebay. I think I decided I just wanted to wear as much pink and purple as possible in the one outfit… My work colleagues think I’m a nut case meanwhile.

Then later I swapped out the demure length skirt for a sequin mini, brenton stripes and my fave Minna Parikka shoes, an amazing leaving gift from my London Studio… I also added another billion brooches and badges… More is more right?

Tightened purse strings.

For the last few weeks I’ve been cooped up at home trying to bang out these major essays. I have no idea about what they’re about but I’m getting better at waffling. Anyway, I distracted myself for about 15 minutes and made myself a Miu Miu inspired collar, because I am definitely not paying $200 for a real one. Seriously, fuck that.
