The Dodos
In the spirit of being more of a ‘yes’ kinda girl this year I not only went to Northcote last night but braved the Northside for an Indie Folk band called The Dodos. I will spare you the cynical review (in the spirit of less hate in 2009 and because I can’t really remember all that much) but will describe their sound more aptly as Agressive Emo Indie Folk or like the Arctic Monkeys on heaps of Xanax, the world’s first pharmaceutically induced dramatic agressive folk rock act!

PS. Never give him a Microphone, if you want to know why go to Summadayze and listen to him tell a group of Greeks they are the Back Wax Crew.
Pre-drinks at the Union, I took this one so when I woke up this morning and said How did I end up so drunk last night? I would remember that Jason made me drink Zubrowka shots, which is why I ended up so drunk last night.
This is the clearest picture I took of the band, sorta what it looked like from my perspective by that stage anyway.
The one thing I don’t love about venues on the North Side is Read More »
