Hello hello and welcome to my next installment of Product Pimpin’. I gotta say I am loving getting this stuff sent to me on the reg. I have so much face wash and the like right now, I practically climb into a Priceline each and every time I enter the shower. This time around I was sent the Neutrogena Acne Stress power scrub and facewash and this whole pack of Clean and Clear Advantage stuff. And here my dears is my reviews…
First up is the Acne Stress Power Scrub and cleanser. I’ve seen the ad and the chick is like “When you stress out you break out and then you stress out about breaking out!” I hear ya girl! That’s my shit right there! I always break out when stressed which lately is all the time. This scrub is really good, not too ‘scrubby’ so you could use it daily, but enough little beads to do it’s thing. To be fair and honest, I had the massivest zit ever while I was using this. When I’m hormonal like a beast, there is no stopping my chin, like insano zits. Sucks but it’s a part of life. This stuff didn’t make it go away. I was kinda beyond that, BUT I haven’t had a zit since. There face wash Read More

Product Pimpin’: Neutrogena Wave
The Neutrogena bird came to visit again recently (my bathroom is full of this stuff now, love it) in the form of their new product the Wave. I took an awesome photo of this here Wave but it sadly died with every other bit of content I ever had on my laptop when it crashed last week. It was a nice photo too but let’s not dwell on the negative let’s get back to this Wave. Sorry for the boring stock pics
This little bitty is a vibrating….thing that you stick a little pad onto that already contains some neutro goodness on it. The pads come with the kit and stick on super easily like Velcro, then you just wet the thing (I choose to do so in the shower) and press down the button and it makes the pad vibrate softly and you rub it all over your face. So, the concept is a little odd but you know what? I like this thing. I’ve used it like once a day for the last week or so and it really does leave your skin hella soft and smooth. I was worried it would dry your skin out but it doesn’t. It doesn’t lather up heaps (unlike the misguiding image above), it’s really gentle. I’ve had a flu and been in my week of hormonal hell where my skin usually turns to that of a 14 year old, but I didn’t cop a single zit, instead my skin was crazy perfect, poreless! It could have been a total coincidence but I’m gonna say it was helped in part by ol’ Wavey.
Is this item a necessity? No. A scrub will probably do the same thing but it does do something. I liked using it on my chin and especially on my neck. Good lord, do you know how much dirt is on your neck??! Heaps. It’s really good at getting to all of those spots and it’s gentle enough to use everyday. I would use it and then dry off and use Clinique moisture surge and my skin was amazoid. And you can see all the dirt on the pad which is always satisfying.
The only negatives I’d say are the fact that a) it takes batteries, another thing you gotta worry about running out. B) You will have to buy special refill pads once the ones with the pack run out (guess you could try using just a makeup pad and putting a bit of cleanser on it but) and c) it’s a bit wasteful. All these pads you just throw out and then this plastic thing. That said I’m sure a lot of young girls will end up finding alternative uses for the wave long after it’s face washing duties are over. Haha. So maybe it’s the start of a long committed relationship rather than landfill afterall. I swear this thing is gonna lead to many a girls personal awakening at some stage.
At any rate, if it’s good enough for V-Hudge, it’s good enough for me!
I LOVE YOU V-HUDGE!!
